Updates on life and some photos and such

Hey yall. Its been a long winter buried under stress, empty bottles, and good times with new friends. Figure I drop a line make sure anyone out there following might be interested in hearing whats up.

1. A couple weeks ago I was approached by some cool dudes who want to start a DIY digital Chicago Scene mag by the name of Chicago Crowd Surfer. Honestly, Im a bit nervous because I haven't written much beyond facebook updates and instagram posts for the brewery I manage over the last few years. First show I'm gonna be shooting is Titus Andronicus and Pile playing acoustic at Schubas this Thursday, which is rad. So here is a picture of Pile just for shits and giggles.

2. I spent the first two weeks of 2018 in Puerto Rico, listening to people, talking with people, making photographs, and as usual drinking way too much. During this time I also was able to go out on a support mission with a group by the name of Serve PR, who have been making efforts to bring food, water, and shelter to those STILL affected from Hurricanes Irma and Maria. In addition to that, I learned a great deal about the fragile mental health crisis that Puerto Ricans fear, and also not to sneak your camera into a cock fighting arena because someone might want to kill you. Work again has been pretty insane so it is taking a while for these photos to come out, as well as find the right format, but they are coming. Dalé.

3. Tour buddies Disrotted and Harsh Noise legend Guilty Connector are putting out a live recording of their show at Namba Bears in Osaka Japan, that I was absolutely honored to photograph will be using some of my images for their release. I wish I could share an image of the layout but I would be spoiling the fun. Currently crossing my fingers on another SE Asia tour with a new band, but dont want to jinx it. So thats about it folks.
